Watch till the end!
Sterna is a 'Belle Epoque' historical ship, born and build in the Swiss Alpes. This to be part of the 'The National Exhibition of 1939' on the lake of Zurich, Switzerland. At that time she was called 'Möve', which means 'Seagull' and was in use as passenger vessel on the lake of Zurich till 1998. Than she was taken out of service and brought to Belgium where she was baptized 'Gueuse'.

Until 2020 Gueuse was active as tourist tour-boat in the harbour of Brussels. Today the ship is transformed and was given a new life, destined as luxury canal houseboat on the Dijle Canal in Belgium.
We decided to call her 'Sterna', Italian for a Stern (bird from the Seagull family), and the 'Stern' from a ship.

Sterna contains 2 spacious suites, one is called 'Captain's Suite' and the other 'Sterna's Suite'.
'Chablis's Salon' is a beautifully designed living room with a bar, kitchen, dining table and Mid Century salon.

The interior is a mix of most unique, exquisite Italian Mid Century pieces and modern timeless Italian furniture. It breaths a 50's look. The two suites have their own ensuite bathroom. The Captain's suite has a large panoramic views, an ensuite terrace and two single beds, and it's own bathroom while the Sterna's suite has a double king sized bed + and a large luxurious bathroom with round bath.

All rooms are build on the same level, this makes it really easy if you have some physical problems and thus wheelchair friendly, no stairs at all!

The spacious terrace is foreseen of comfortable sun-loungers, salon, dining tables and ofcours a stunning view. You can enjoy the shade of the wheelhouse-roof which is above the dining tables.

Oooh and yes, we are eco-friendly, we reused all of the original wood and some furniture.
